We are now looking to recruit a Fibre Engineer – Competitive Salary + company vehicle with personal use option and fuel card +enhanced overtime rates.
What are we looking for:
This role will be covering our North region of Cheshire and Shropshire, we are looking for a skilled Engineer who is based within 1 hours commute of these areas. You will be 90% field based with a requirement to visit our Droitwich Head Office for occasional meetings.
As a Fibre Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with our engineering team delivery teams to deploy OH/UG fibre, including fusion splicing, OTDR testing, blown fibre installation, and customer termination point installation.
You will also troubleshoot individual and wider network issues, liaise with colleagues and customers, and ensure all work is conducted to the highest standards, with a right first-time approach throughout the Cheshire and Shropshire areas.
As a Fibre Engineer you will enjoy working at heights and have a flexible approach to work as you will be working independently as well as part of a Team?

Experience & Skills Required:
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has a high degree of initiative, and can manage their own workload effectively. You should also be a great team player, have excellent networking skills, and hold the necessary certificates & tickets, including
- A minimum of 2 years Fibre Engineer experience
- SA001 and SA002, S7 or N007 Sub duct and cable installation, S8 or E001 Overhead cable installation,
- S9 Pole stepping on congested poles, Street works operator 01 SLG, Static Boom (1b) Mobile Boom (3b), CSS Worksafe (Safe working at Height),
- Emergency First Aid at work, as well as your NOPS Card (Training will be provided if you do not hold these certificates/tickets)
