May Logistics, Inc. is looking for a responsible Delivery Driver to distribute FedEx packages promptly and accurately to our customers. You will operate within Lexington, NC and run your assigned route in a cost-effective manner to increase profitability and customer satisfaction. New hire training to ensure your success Required job entry medical fees are at our cost (Drug test & DOT physical) Advanced route planning system & equipment provided for improved efficiency in your daily stops JOB DESCRIPTION Part-time (1 -day a week) with potential Full time FedEx Delivery Driver Position available. Work days during Peak season (Dec - Jan) will typically require a 6-day schedule. Route days may include weekends. Route assignment in Lexington, NC area Typical vehicles used include Sprinters, 14' and 16' Box Trucks Very fast paced job requiring a minimum 85 stops per day with 100 packages delivered each day. You must be active, fast and fit. Interaction with customers daily requires professional demeanor Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle Follow routes and time schedules Follow FedEx/DOT regulations and safety standards SKILLS Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver Ability to operate vehicles in a variety of weather and traffic conditions Excellent organizational and time management skills Good driving record JOB CRITERIA (APPLICANT MUST PASS THESE FEDEX REQUIREMENTS) Must have at least 1-year of verifiable Commercial Driving Experience within the past 3 years OR 5-years experience within the past 10 years. (Military, driving for a company in a truck, van etc. Experience does NOT require 40-hour workweek, CDL or OTR.) 21 years old or older No tickets for reckless/aggressive driving (with 80+ mph, exceeding the posted speed limit by 15 mph or more), rollover accident, DWI/DUI, out-of-state violation, suspension of license in the last 60 months. No more than 2 moving violations in the last 36 months. Must be able to pass 10-year background check. NO felony conviction of any kind.
