The services include Delivery Suite with 13 birthing rooms, a two bedded induction bay and 4 bedded recovery area and a birthing pool that is utilised within Labour ward and the Midwifery Led unit. The Midwife Birthing Unit is an alongside midwifery led birthing unit and has 4 Active Birth rooms and two assessment rooms.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic midwife to manage our Labour Ward and lead our team of clinical senior midwives. As the Labour Ward manager you will be responsible for providing clinical, operational and managerial leadership. You will need to be energetic, up for a challenge, to be accountable and responsible for leading cohesive team working and effective communication, ensuring high quality and safe maternity care for all.
**This role is Full Time with 3 days office based (26 hours) and then one 11.5 hour clinical based shift in a intrapartum setting ***
We are looking for a candidate who is extremely passionate, enthusiastic and skilled in labour care, and with recent leadership experience. You must be committed to continuous quality improvement, the post includes involvement in audit, development of guidelines and engagement in risk and governance processes. You must be willing and able to think 'outside of the box' to aid in the development of innovative maternity services. We are looking for a leader who is not only concerned about clinical outcomes and measures, but just as importantly in women's experiences of birth.
