Job description
Reporting directly to the Farm Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and proactive individual. You will be responsible for assisting the Farm Manager in all areas, including general farm maintenance (tree work/fencing etc). You will also be involved with the set up and dismantle of the annual Doe Show which includes moving vehicles of all types. You will be required to have experience of working with GPS & using precision farming techniques.
Main Responsibilities/Requirements
- Driving farm powered vehicles such as tractors and forklifts
- Operating farm implements connected to a tractor
- This position would suit a driven individual who enjoys working as part of a team and has experience in some or all field operations
- Using modern up to date machinery, responsibilities would include a variety of all duties -combining, cultivations, drilling, fertiliser spreading and spraying.
- Harvest corn cart using tractor and trailer on roads
- General maintenance and maintaining of the Farm
- Manual labour tasks.
- Hedge cutting with tractor and powered hedge cutter, often working from the road or roadside.
- Attend training courses are required by the company to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding.
- Able to work long hours during peak periods
- Able to be a team player
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

- Maldon, CM9 6QH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- working on a farm: 3 years (required)
