Are you looking for an exciting leadership role in flight operations management?

We are on the lookout for an experienced candidate to oversee all aspects of our RPAS operations, including survey, security and surveillance, and training. As our Flight Operations Manager, you will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulations and driving operational excellence.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will develop and execute strategic initiatives to guarantee success in our RPAS operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will work closely with our technology, regulatory, and commercial teams.

Our services range from delivering CAA-accredited training, and procurement of platforms, sensors, and data processing technology to conducting large-scale international BVLOS operations; every day is different, and there is never a dull day.

You will be joining a small but focused team within our new HQ in Leeds; you will be pivotal to the growth and expansion of both our Survey and Training business. Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the IAA and CAA to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement standardised operational procedures, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international aviation regulations, maintaining all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications.
  • Oversee flight planning, mission execution, and post-flight analysis to ensure the highest level of service delivery and data accuracy.
  • Foster a culture of safety, promoting adherence to safety protocols and implementing continuous training programs.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to understand operational requirements and develop customized solutions.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in operations management, ideally within the drone industry or related aviation fields.
  • Experience with UK and EASA regulations - safety protocols, and risk management best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • A strong background in project management, an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks.

Salary: £44,485.00-£50,000.00 per year

  • Fixed-wing RPAS: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
