Lockton’s Marketing department is an integrated team of divisional marketing, communications and design specialists who act as trusted advisors to create and implement strategic marketing plans and activity that supports business objectives.
Our specialist skills include advertising, marketing design and copywriting, thought leadership content production, digital marketing, and client document support (such as for tenders). We partner with Lockton’s brokering divisions to proactively tailor strategies that enable commercial success – there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to marketing at Lockton.
Following an exceptional year of continued growth, we are investing in the expansion of our marketing team to enhance, broaden and expand our marketing capabilities to further support both brand and business objectives.
We are looking for a Content Writer with previous journalism experience who wants to join Lockton International’s dynamic Marketing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in-house on behalf of a growth-orientated global brand and as part of a dynamic and close-knit central team.
Reporting to the Content Director, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with our subject matter experts to produce engaging thought leadership content for clients and prospective clients, aligning to our key practice areas and product lines.
Your articles will feature on our corporate website, social media channels and will also be distributed via direct email to our subscribers and client lists. In addition, you may participate in the writing of market updates and research reports, as well as podcasts and video scripts.
Although experience within the Insurance industry would be beneficial, it’s not essential for the role, providing you have worked in a similar type of corporate, professional services business.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, create and edit engaging articles and written content for Lockton International
- Support and partner with our dynamic business areas to drive and execute content creation and delivery
- Attend regular stakeholder meetings with Lockton’s business divisions and working groups
- Produce content strategies for internal clients, as appropriate, and undertake ongoing research to highlight news that impacts Lockton’s clients
- Promote Lockton in the market by enabling the production of thought leadership
- Drive the utilisation of diverse content channels, including podcasts and videos
- Support and enable the hosting of in-person and virtual events
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- An understanding of financial services and risk solutions
- Previous experience within journalism
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to build a trusted relationship with a diverse set of content contributors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to turn abstract or technical information into engaging content
- Willingness and ability to continually expand knowledge around risk solutions
- Collaborative working style and an enthusiastic team player Organised with a strong work ethic, great sense of initiative, and a talent for predicting what will interest and engage target audiences

- Insurance background desirable but by no means essential Experience working in a corporate environment
