Description
This position requires you to drive and own a car as you will be supporting vulnerable adults in their own homes.
We are looking for part time, experienced Care Workers to join our community reablement team support vulnerable adults in their own homes. You will help with medication, personal care, mobility and additional support to get people that recovering from hospital treatment or working to avoid hospitalisation.
For this position you will need to have progressed through Level One in Social Care and able to take on additional responsibilities at Level Two, such as medication, equipment assessments and attending to emergencies. You will have experience supporting adults in a similar role and are looking for that progression. This role will be working with an experienced team of multi-disciplinary health and care professionals including, Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists that are all there to support reablement of vulnerable adults.
You will assist and support customers, including those with complex needs and behaviours with active daily living skills such as personal care, and skills that will focus on them remaining independent in their own homes.
You will provide person centred therapeutic and creative solutions which will assist recovery and encourage independence and self management, you will also contribute to the delivery, evaluation and changes to goal plans within the agreed timelines.

You need to meet and maintain the standards in the Choices for Living Well Handbook and show a high standard of personal appearance and cleanliness including wearing, maintaining and safekeeping of uniforms.
Killiea are a community run, interim service that supports people, many with complex needs due to illness or injury, to regain their skills and confidence so they can return home after a period of therapy and support. We offer an interim safe space in a lovely, newly renovated residential ( bed-based) house and extend our services out to those who have returned to their own homes. This role specifically works with those in the community as part of a short-term service. You will need to drive and own a car.

We need you to
- DRIVE and OWN A CAR
- Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma preferable
- Be fully vaccinated
- Experience offering person centred care to those with physical disabilities.
- Communicate well, have fluent English both spoken and written.
- Love working with people and can demonstrate empathy and kindness
- Experience working as part of a team, show flexibility in supporting colleagues.
- Have an interest in Health and Wellbeing.
- Be energetic and up for a challenge.

Progression
Working with a multidisciplinary team will mean you working alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses as well as many other professions therefore providing you with the exposure to a wide range of roles across the Bury Health and Care sector. There will also be times that you will need to work independently. Work hours, pay and benefits.
- Part time shifts are as follows on a 2 week rota pattern.
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- 4.30pm - 9.30pm
- Hourly Rate starting at £11.59
- You will be entitled to a petrol allowance, mobile phone and a supplied uniform.
