Executive Assistant to the CEO London, England

Duel
Full Time London, England 30000 - 50000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Are you the kind of hyper-organised social machine that runs your life with a spreadsheet… and all of your friends’ as well? We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to provide invaluable support to our CEO, Paul. You will be the dinner arranging, invite list curating, network nurturing, time freeing grease on the wheels that unlocks Paul’s time to continue pushing the business forward as we rapidly expand on both sides of the Atlantic.

THE BUSINESS

Duel was founded by world-record-breaking adventurer and former brand ambassador Paul Archer, alongside viral games developer Naio Tsarouchis.

We are on a mission to empower brands to grow through the advocacy of the people who love them. Duel exists to show there’s a better way to build businesses, to build a better future, proving that caring for people builds brand, which builds long-term and exponential profit returns.

Our Brand Advocacy Platform allows mid-level to enterprise brands to do just that - scaling how they manage their relationships with thousands of advocates, customers, creators and brand ambassadors. We’re proud today that brands such as Monica Vinader, Charlotte Tilbury, Mint Velvet, Neom and Tropicfeel (to name a few, but not to name some household names that are yet to go live) are doing just that.

The Duel team comprises psychologists, brand experts and community builders from companies including Amazon, Treatwell, Bain, Mimecast and Lululemon as well as young entrepreneurs, psychologists and other exceptional talents.

THE ROLE

As the CEO’s Executive Assistant, your central mission will be to craft an environment of seamless efficiency that empowers Paul to expand, nurture and engage with his network to drive new business, focus on his strategic vision responsibilities, and support the rest of the team in achieving theirs.

Your role ensures that Paul's time is optimally utilised, enabling him to drive our company forward.

  • Schedule Juggler: You'll be the ultimate multitasker, managing Paul's schedule like a champ. Your knack for fitting all the puzzle pieces together will give Paul the space to focus on big-picture stuff and keep the business humming.

  • Email Ninja: You'll be the email gatekeeper, ensuring the CEO’s inbox stays shipshape. Quick and friendly responses and an ability to adapt your tone of voice, will be your signature move, keeping our communication game strong.

  • Travel Guru: From flights to accommodations, you'll be the travel pro.

  • Event Savant: Intimate networking dinners and events is the secret to Duel’s growth. You will unlock this by organising, arranging and hustling venues, seating plans and guest lists.

  • Network Navigator: Part of delivering on the dinners strategy will include navigating Paul's contacts and keeping his CRM on point. You'll be the secret sauce behind our connections, ensuring relationships are nurtured and partnerships flourish.

  • Social Management: You'll be in charge of boosting Paul's online presence, ensuring he and Duel are trending for all the right reasons.

  • Investment Sidekick: You'll dive into the investment world, ensuring meets are set and pitches are pitched. Your meticulous eye for detail and tracking will mean the investment processes run like clockwork.

  • Time unlocker: you will identify and complete tasks before they are even there. Anything to open up time and focus.

THE PERSON

In this role, we're seeking someone who embodies the essence of a linchpin – a true organisational powerhouse that will soon be the beating heart of our team. You'll be the go-to person who works behind the scenes to ensure the gears of our business turn smoothly. Your natural knack for managing multiple tasks, orchestrating events seamlessly, fostering connections and keeping everything in check (whilst occasionally banging the odd head together where necessary!) will make you the unsung hero we cannot do without.

  • Hyper Organised: If your friends call you the king or queen of organisation, you're the perfect fit. You'll tackle schedules like a pro, turning chaos into a well-oiled machine. If you could marry a google cal, you would.

  • Empathetic Team Player: You're not just about tasks; you're about people. Your ability to understand and support your colleagues will make you an invaluable part of our team. Your empathetic nature will be the glue that keeps us all together.

  • Wordsmith Wizard: You don't just write, you create magic with words. Whether it's a snappy email or a thoughtful note, your writing skills will add that extra shine to our communications.

  • Natural Relationship Tracker: You can keep track of every activity and every person - your knack for maintaining and nurturing these digital and in-person relationships will top you up rather than drain you.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years PA or EA experience desired

  • Experience managing a network and CRM preferred

  • Small event organisation experience preferred.

  • Other team/operations role experience considered

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Part-time option - this could be a role perfect for someone who needs to work around school hours

  • Flexible working hours - if you need to fit around childcare or need to work around your life, we understand. Unsurprisingly, we too have lives (and many of us have kids!) and working around what works for you is a core value at the company

  • Around 32 days of Annual Leave (28 excluding bank holidays and an extended break between Christmas and New Year, when we close the metaphorical office)

  • On-going training where required

  • Perks/Benefits: Choose your own benefits package, including Wellness, Fitness and Growth options. Gym membership, Headspace subscription, Duolingo, reading/Audible budget, cycle-to-work scheme, and Anxiety UK access to name a few!

  • Options scheme for all full-time employees - it’s important to us that everybody owns a part of the company and shares in the benefits of what we build

We want to build a remarkable company with remarkable people and a remarkable culture that you will want to shout from the rooftops about. In a relaxed, flexible and fun environment, the team is driven to making the business a success while enjoying what we do and who we do it with.

HOW DO I APPLY?

Please send us your CV! We know some folk tend to only apply for jobs when they meet all the criteria - if you think you might be able to do this role, ping us your CV, we want to hear from you.

(No recruiters, please! We would rather save the money and put it towards an awesome team day out.)
