We are looking to appoint an Executive Assistant in our Bishop's Stortford office.

The department:

Tees provides personal legal services, business legal services and independent wealth management advice - from our six offices in the East of England. We are a 375-strong firm, turning over £30million and knocking on the door of the UK’s top 100 law firms. Five of our departments are ranked in the top tier of Legal 500.

The role:

To provide administrative and operational support to the Group Managing Director, Senior Partner and occasionally the Chair of the Board.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide pro-active Executive support to the MD and Senior Partner
  • Confidential email management
  • Planning meetings, bookings rooms, sending diary invites and preparing agendas
  • Compose and prepare letters relating to routine correspondence for the MD and Senior Partner’s signature
  • Prepare weekly, monthly or quarterly reports
  • Format information for internal and external communication –emails, presentations, reports
  • Planning appointments and networking events
  • Receiving and screening phone calls
  • Facilitate and coordinate activities to ensure the smooth running of the organisation
  • Arrange meetings, training and company events as appropriate
  • Any other duties as reasonably required

Skills required:

  • A team player capable of cultivating productive working relationships across the business
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Competent in accurate minutes of meetings
  • Strong communication skills (via phone, email and in-person)
  • Effective use of own initiative and confident decision maker
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information
  • Proven experience supporting an Executive Board Team is desired
