We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our team in the Trust Secretariat at Colchester Hospital.
To succeed in this role, you will possess excellent organisational abilities, vital in balancing competing priorities. You will be flexible, focused, calm, and experienced in complex diary management, recognising the importance of confidentiality and sensitivity of issues, able to use the utmost discretion, and will support Directors with all their administrative tasks.
You will have significant proven experience of providing similar support to Board/Executive level leaders, be skilled at working in a fast-paced office, and be solution focused to manage competing priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating attention to detail, providing a high standard of minute taking and action management are essential.
This is an important role and an excellent opportunity for an individual who has an interest in working with an Executive Team. The role is predominately based at Colchester hospital, however there may be a need to travel to other ESNEFT sites as and when required.

Working within the corporate team, you will provide a full range of high-quality organisational services to Board members, taking a proactive approach and ensuring that the support needs of Director(s) are met in a timely and efficient manner. This will include business and personal assistant/secretarial duties; managing workloads and priorities to meet deadlines; complex diary management; written and email communication; preparing meeting papers; minute taking and ensuring that outcomes and actions are communicated and followed up.
Always maintaining a professional and confidential service, you will be required to make judgements on priorities, with sufficient understanding of the scope of the directorate remit and specialist knowledge in the area of their work, to effectively screen, resolve or direct enquiries to the most appropriate persons.
To work as part of a team of Executive Assistants across both Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals, enhancing your knowledge to support one another during periods of absence.
