A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the Executive Office as an Executive Assistant.
This position is working in a team of Executive Assistants supporting the Senior Leadership Team of Bristol City Council. Our team provides high quality support to the Leadership Team enabling them to deliver on their objectives and priorities for the city.
We are looking for someone who is a highly organised self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
Key elements of the role will be to:
- Provide direct, confidential administrative and diary support to Directors and Cabinet Members within Bristol City Council (BCC).
- Support the aims, objectives and priorities of the Executive Office by working collaboratively and effectively with all relevant BCC teams and colleagues and with external stakeholders.
- Provide 2:1 support, either supporting two Directors or a Director and Cabinet Member,
- Manage internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Directors, supporting them to prioritise their time appropriately
- Support visits, events, internal & external meetings where required, including preparation of briefing packs/papers, attending and taking minutes as required.
What do I need to have?
- NVQ level 3 in business administration or equivalent qualification and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge & understanding gained through experience.
- Proven ability to manage a complex inbox and electronic diary.
- Proven ability to gain knowledge & understanding of a broad and complex area of work, taking a proactive approach to research and fact-finding.
- Proven ability to prioritise in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic office environment.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, however there is a requirement to work in City Hall a minimum of 2 days per week.
