We have a fantastic opportunity for an C & E Sales Executive to work in our dynamic Sales team at The Belfry, England’s leading Hotel and Resort. We have 320 bedrooms, 2 Rosette standard dining, five food and beverage outlets, fantastic leisure facilities including our 20 treatment rooms & pool and of course, what we are famous for…golf. We have a really exciting year ahead at The Belfry, starting with hosting The British Masters in June 2023, and continuing with the launch of new training and development opportunities and incentives.

The Events Sales Team

About you


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mid to large hotel sales team and possess excellent verbal & written communication skills.

In addition, you will be:


  • Methodical - accurate & ability to work on own initiative, with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Computer literate, with experience of hotel PMS. i.e. Delphi & Opera.
  • Sales focused and enthusiastic, with excellent customer service skills.
  • Flexible and capable of working well within a team.


About the Role


As a C & E Sales Executive you will be responsible for supporting the sales team to achieve their targets in line with budget. The successful applicant will support the team by undertaking day to day enquiry handling and event co-ordination, ensuring The Belfry standards are maintained.


You will also be responsible for:


  • Following the hotel sales process, hotel show rounds and sales efforts, customer entertaining, forecasting and space release policy, event management procedures and policies, billing policies are correct and followed.
  • Directly answers all incoming group inquiries/opportunities.
  • Being the point of contact with the customer for all pre planning details
  • Creating event function sheets to ensure clients requirements are accurately documented and distributed to the wider resort
  • General call handling to discuss event details including using questioning techniques and handling objections
  • Conducting face to face site visits/menu tastings and final detail calls
  • Booking and attending client pre & post event meetings
  • Assist in taking enquiries and covering the phones during busy period
