An opportunity has arisen for an NMP \ to join York Drug and Alcohol Team clinical team. Working as part of multi-disciplinary team you will deliver high quality specialist treatment for substance misuse clients of York, The NMP/Quality Lead will provide professional leadership and continue to develop clinical governance processes in support of Spectrum quality agenda.They will ensure Quality Assurance within this defined clinical area through the implementation of Clinical Governance Plans and Best Value Initiatives that conform with legislative requirements. Supporting the improvement of patient experience and quality of service provision through monitoring & quality improvement facilitation, in line with local and national quality markers within services. The post holder will be a practicing non-medical prescriber, promoting the effective use of evidenced based treatment approaches to provide an opportunity for sustained recovery from dependent and problematic substance misuse. They will be visibility and accessibility to patients and staff and act as a resource, promoting innovation, sharing of information and best practice, highlight local developments and networking opportunities.
Working as part of multi-disciplinary team you will deliver high quality specialist treatment for substance misusers of York, in line with NICE-based protocols for the management of substance misuse and the development of care pathways across the district. Developing effective working relationships with staff from our service delivery partners to ensure efficient use of resources. The NMP/Quality Lead will have an instrumental role in the service audit processes, service evaluation and training. Implementing change management initiatives to improve service provision through collaboration and joint working with key stakeholders whilst supporting the delivery of the of Spectrum Community Health CIC strategic aims and objectives. They will work with colleagues to develop areas for service and quality improvement; promoting the use of robust systems and processes that ensure there is continuing improvement in the delivery of care,and where possible ensuring evidence-based practice is underpinned with research. The post holder will work as an Independent Non-Medical Prescriber, within the NMC framework and Spectrum protocols in providing treatment for clients with drug, alcohol dependency working alongside the partnership agency in developing and providing clinical service provision within a recovery focused model, They will promote and provide specialist Harm Minimisation advice, information, OST and detoxification treatment interventions, plans and pathways.
