Job Title: Event Assistant

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) minimum

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Leicestershire

Responsible to: Event Manager

Reporting to one of our Event Managers, you will be working alongside a team of 9 event professionals ranging from Event Assistants to Event Director.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Event Assistant in a busy and growing company. You will join our full service event agency, supporting on the planning and delivery of a number of events that take place throughout the country (and further a field). We are looking to expand our team to support the ever-growing portfolio of successful Awards, Conferences, Gala Dinners, Incentives and Exhibition clients.

You will be expected to manage a number of projects simultaneously, whilst ensuring all deadlines are met, to facilitate the high level of service we provide our clients.

The role is predominantly an admin based role but you will have a high level of autonomy and be trusted to manage your own work schedule. You will spend your time supporting our Event Manager by taking minutes during meetings, researching ideas and suppliers, as well as proposal writing.

This role requires excellent attention to detail, communication skills and a confident and outgoing personality. Attendance at events will be expected to ensure successful event delivery.

Job Requirements

To be successful in the role you will have either an event management degree or 1+ years experience (which can be a placement year), ideally in an event agency setting.

Desired candidate experience / skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and highly diligent.
  • Ability to work on your own, as well as part of a team.
  • Competent IT user (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet).
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
  • Highly enthusiastic and motivated approach to work.
  • Be outgoing and approachable.
  • Be well organised and able to work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines.
  • Be a team player and flexible working attitude at all times.
  • Have the flexibility to work away on live events sometimes with overnight stays.
  • Full clean driving licence and your own vehicle.

Salary: From £20,000.00 per year, dependant on experience
