We have a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic Policy Officer to join us working remotely.
The Quality team operates across Active Care Group to provide a shared central function to support the national operations of the Group. The Policy Officer will provide support to the Group Policy Manager and be responsible for the maintenance of a comprehensive controlled document register for policies, standing operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines, from creation through to approval. Working as part of the Quality team, the post holder will be expected to exercise independent judgement, initiative and be able to work under pressure while balancing competing priorities.
What you'll be working:
- Reporting to: Group Policy Manager
- Monday to Friday - 9am - 5:30pm
- Location: Remote
- Pay rate: £30,000 per annum
- Full time / Permanent - 37.5hrs per week
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- The post-holder is responsible for taking reasonable care with regard to them self colleagues, patients and visitors in accordance with the Organisation policies on Health and Safety at Work.
- To report any accident, untoward incident or loss relating to colleagues, patients or visitors according to Organisation policies.
- To undertake in-service training relevant to the post.
- Comply with Organisation Policies and Procedures.
ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To maintain the confidentiality of the Organisation in respect of patient/resident and colleague information obtained at all times, and use such information only as authorised for specific purposes. Report any concerns about the use of such information to the senior manager.

What you'll have:
Qualification:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a health or social care organisation.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience:
- Experience in document management and control.
- Experience of developing and managing complex policies (in a range of care specialties/networks), from policy conception, definition through to delivery/dissemination.
- Demonstrate experience of developing and coordinating policy analysis and translating to the needs of the business.
- Experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders on policy requirements.
