To support us, we are looking for a sustainability apprentice. For this role you will need to undertake the corporate responsibility & sustainability apprenticeship level 4 programme with Cambridge Marketing College. In your day job you will be:
  • Supporting the team to ensure Sanofi UKIE is recognised and benchmarked as one of the leading sustainability companies in the UKIE pharmaceutical industry.
  • Supporting the business to advance in environmental sustainability by supporting the carbon reduction plan implementation, work with stakeholders from the organisation to educate them on the topic, assessments, and reporting.
  • Supporting the management of working groups and site led sustainability improvement activities.
  • Data capture, processing, and analysis in line with Planet Care and The Carbon Reduction Plan.
  • Driving awareness and engagement by supporting relevant internal functions.
This is a new role and requires flexibility to develop further in conjunction with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Help develop and implement the carbon reduction plan and meet our 2026 UKIE objectives
  • Help collect data on Sanofi UKIE’ emissions and communicate the collected data to global
  • Help project manage the team working on the carbon reduction plan
  • Work with facilities, HSE, supply chain, and procurement to ensure our sustainability target are met
  • Be involved with internal stakeholder to educate the workforce on sustainability
  • Help foster a culture of sustainability through continuously sharing learnings across the business
  • Work with corporate communications to increase our external visibility as a leading sustainable pharmaceutical business.
  • Support the internal transformative project to build upon our previous achievements
  • Capture minutes in sustainability meeting and cascade the information to the relevant stakeholder
  • Support the organisation of green events/activities internally
  • Supporting the creation of case studies
  • Collection and data management of scope 1,2 & 3 emission
About you
  • A self-starter with an environmental, commercial, and growth mind set.
  • Resilience and patience, embedding the Play to Win behaviours.
  • A strategic thinker with strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • The ability to influence, collaborate and build stakeholder relationships.
  • A proven track record in project management and on the delivery of projects.
  • Well organised and the ability to inspire and influence without authority.
  • Proof of a minimum of five GCSEs grade A – C (9 – 4 on the new grading system), OR proof of A levels
