About Us
Our Dordon Customer Fulfilment Centre is around 350,000 square feet and boasts world leading technology. At full capacity we will fulfil between 190,000 - 200,000 customer orders a week from this one site alone, which requires 24/7 operation and a dedicated team of Engineers and Technicians.
About the role
The Engineering Team Operative role is a great opportunity for individuals to enter the engineering world at an entry level with the potential to progress within our engineering team.
You are not required to have any formal engineering qualifications as this role is all about resolving issues without the use of tools and includes such tasks as, responding to tote jams on the conveyor systems, using computerised systems to complete jam reports and to complete maintenance logs, cleaning of automation equipment and to help maintain hygiene standards (please note this does include heavy cleaning tasks). Full training to complete the technical assistant role will be given but experience of working within an automated warehouse / logistics environment would be desirable, along with a good eye for detail; good problem solving ability and a practical approach. English language skills equivalent to B1 on CERF Scale or above.
You will have access to TA2 and TA3 training programmes to progress to a Technician level (subject to successful performance and attendance in the Engineering Team Operative role).
This role requires a lot of physical activity e.g. lifting, pushing and pulling heavy objects. This also includes very repetitive tasks and monitoring of the automated systems which can lead to long periods of being on your feet.
Shift: 12 hour shift with an average of 42 hours per week. The shift pattern will cover days and nights.

Situated at the back of Birch Coppice Business Park, Dordon, we are easily accessible via public transport from Nuneaton, Atherstone and Tamworth. Outside of these areas, you will need to have transport to be able to access the site for your shifts.
