STEM recruitment solutions have a superb opportunity for an Engineering Supervisor for their manufacturing client based in the central belt of Scotland.
This is a high-profile position with a highly respected company who are going through an exciting period of expansion. You will be responsible for the companies’ products, their development and manufacture. The role requires a strategic approach and the creation of a vision for product innovation and develop to drive commercial success.
You will be the owner of product development and customer delivery pulling all areas of the business to work towards a common goal. You will help to create and drive technical strategy by analysing all areas of the business. Taking time to identify problems, project managing improvement initiatives and ultimately driving the team performance.
An important part of the role will be managing projects undertaken to improve the efficiency of the operation. You will run Capex projects, identifying where machinery and systems need upgraded and writing compelling business cases to justify the work required. You will then be responsible for running the project through installation, commissioning and monitor when running in manufacture.
The successful candidate will cover many additional tasks including:
· Product launches
· Innovation and improvement initiatives
· Identification of new technologies
· Operational management
· Cost analysis
· Maintaining client relationships
· Budget responsibilities
· Reports
· Cost analysis
The role would suit an experienced Engineering Manager with Project Management experience. You should have a proven track record of process improvement initiatives and come from a Chemical Engineering or Chemistry focussed background.
