Engineering Planner
GSK are recruiting for an Engineering Planner to join them on a full-time and permanent basis at the site in Montrose.
It is a varied role where you will be working with multiple areas and disciplines across the site including exposure to all engineering functions. You will be interacting with all levels of staff on site up to senior management level.
The role is predominantly office based however, there is a requirement to be out on plant to review and investigate any additional requirements to ensure the delivery of a successfully plan. This may include but not limited to, identifying equipment, location and any access and egress needs, the requirement for RAMS or liftings plans.
Job Purpose
The role is part of the Engineering Directorate and will provide a planning, SAP data maintenance and SAP training service for the maintenance operations on site.
In this role you will…
- To produce a maintenance plan for a 12-month timeframe and issue a weekly maintenance plan for the maintenance teams.
- To take full account of the routine maintenance tasks and schedule them such that out of tolerance dates are not exceeded.
- To take full account of corrective maintenance and plant modification tasks and schedule them to satisfy customer requirements.
- To identify and match resources, including manpower, materials and enabling works, with the maintenance workload.
- To liaise with Production owners to enable matching of engineering work with available production windows.
- Integrate contracts maintenance routines into plan to minimise production windows required.
- To produce planning metrics to enable performance monitoring.
- To produce specific shutdown plans and support end 2 end planning process.
- Providing a SAP data maintenance service to the site.

- Secondary Education, level of standard grades
- Time served Engineering apprenticeship or at least proven experience working in an Engineering/Technical environment
- Good IT, documentation and communications skills

- SAP experience is highly desirable
