We are now seeking an Engineering Apprentice who will work alongside the current engineering maintenance teams at our Wrexham site in order to undertake a fixed training program involving both technical and academic learning whilst undertaking on-the-job training in relation to Aseptic biotech manufacture in a busy work environment.
The purpose of this apprenticeship will be to develop the individual, so they become efficient in electrical, mechanical and calibration maintenance to support the Ipsen Wrexham engineering team with planned and corrective maintenance tasks, including machine troubleshooting, investigations of major breakdowns and technical improvement activities while meeting regulatory, quality and safety requirements.
It is the intention of this program to develop the individual with the necessary technical, educational and behavioural work experiences and skills so that on completion the apprentice will be classified as multi-skilled but also has the skills and aptitude to further advance their Ipsen career in the future
What are we looking for…
- A highly enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic who has a keen interest in manufacturing / maintenance engineering and is driven to succeed.
- Some technical knowledge of manufacturing and utility systems would be beneficial
- Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated and ability to work to tight or changing deadlines.
- Ability and flexibility to work as a part of a small team.
- Strong mathematical and computer competencies are essential
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner
- Extremely high level of technical curiosity
- Willingness to continually develop their technical career path
- GCSE grades A-C in Maths, English & Sciences
- A technical certificate in Engineering Level 2/3
