An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Energy Graduate within Perth & Kinross Council. The post will form part of the Energy and Engineering Team within Property Services, allowing individuals to gain knowledge and experience through work-based learning combining this with the academic qualifications they have previously gained. The role is varied, and the individuals could be working on new build projects and/or refurbishment of existing properties such as schools, libraries, leisure centres, Council houses and all other public buildings. A key part of the role will be the requirement to contribute to future energy savings and climate change targets. This will involve assisting with energy efficiency projects that incorporate low carbon technologies and undertaking an energy management role to reduce energy consumption. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to use computer aided design packages such as IES VE, Amtech, Relux, AutoCAD REVIT and Systemlink Energy management software. Some knowledge of IES VE would be advantageous but not essential for the role.
You will have graduated to degree level in an Energy or Engineering related subject. To succeed in this role, we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, have drive and determination. A keen interest in energy efficiency and climate change is also essential, allowing the successful candidate the best opportunity to start their career within the industry. It is anticipated that the individuals should be self-motivated and confident with excellent communication skills to establish good working relationships.
