A Senior Technical Officer to work within the Facilities Management Team at Lancashire County Council .

Are you a practical and experienced technician with a passion for troubleshooting audio-visual equipment to deliver service excellence. Our Facilities Management team is responsible for providing services for both internal and external stakeholders. We manage a range of audio-visual equipment to ensure our conferencing facilities are fully operational and we are excited to attract and welcome a Senior Technical Officer (Audio Visual) to lead our team of experienced technicians located at County Hall, Preston.

What we are searching for…

Leadership – We are seeking an efficient, organised Senior Technician (Audio Visual) to manage a team of five technicians to deliver a fluid conferencing service to a wide range of professionals – in this practical and responsible opportunity you will lead your team to deliver client expectations across a large complex site – we'll need you to be enthusiastic and proactive to allocate a range of technical tasks whilst monitoring team performance – as a naturally engaging leader we'll require you to share your technical expertise to ensure your team delivers service demands – in this fantastic opportunity you will be responsible for line management duties such as holiday management, training, support, leadership, development etc… so if you have the skills needed to lead a dedicated team of audio - visual technicians then read on to find out more

Technical Expertise – As our audio-visual expert you will be responsible for a range of equipment required for conferencing needs so we'll need you to be focused on maintenance, troubleshooting, conference preparation and responding to clients when they need technical support – in this varied role you will use your technical expertise to facilitate a variety of conference options such as hybrid, live web casting etc. – you'll be preparing, co-ordinating both large and small scale events, some with a political element so the service you will provide will need to be seamless due to content being released in the public domain – as our digital professional you will be responsible for recording, editing, podcasts, studio preparation, video production, green screens and lot's more – if you're ready to offer us digital solutions and further expand our conferencing offer then apply now

Communication – We're searching for a confident communicator as you will provide technical advice and guidance to ensure the smooth use of the conferencing facilities – we’ll need you to communicate your digital expertise and the specifics needed to deliver a solution focused approach – in this practical and critical role you'll interact with a variety of stakeholders to provide a customer service that's exemplary – with your approachable nature you'll collaborate with both internal and external clients such as the Police, NHS and more – finally if you can convey concise information and you'd love to share your technical expertise then come and see what a great working environment we can offer you!
