Electrical Manufacturing Apprenticeship
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join us an apprentice to be trained as a skilled electrical/electronic technician.


As an apprentice you will be trained in assembly, wiring, and test of a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment. This will involve using a range of power and hand tools, together with test and measuring instruments.

Candidates will learn and be expected to apply safe working practices for the manufacture, repair and test of equipment.

Candidates will gain solid foundation within a professional team environment and have opportunity to learn from professional and friendly individuals, both at College and in the workplace. This will include completion of a Level 3 technical certificate, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.


Possible placements:

The role will require the individual to participate in various areas of practical and theoretical electrical and electronic engineering training; combined with company specific training given in the workplace. The apprentice will be based at our Whetstone facility


As part of the apprenticeship, individuals will spend time undertaking work within the workshop with opportunity to work at customer sites.


Qualifications you’ll get:

Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard (including NVQ Level 3)


What you’ll need:
A minimum of 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4 (C) or above including English and Science, and Maths at Grade 5 (B) or above.


Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level before taking the end-point assessment.
