Job description
Work in the clinical environment supporting the learning needs of all levels of student nurses and supervisors/assessors. Work one to one clinically with students, providing them with constructive feedback on their achievement. Provide detailed feedback/evidence to the programme providers in relation to a students achievement or lack of achievement. Assess the students total performance.
Liaise with others (e.g. practice assessors/supervisors, practice development nurses, link lecturers) to provide feedback, identify any concerns about the students performance and agree action as appropriate. Develop and deliver clinical skills training for all levels of student nurses, including moving and handling training. Assist with delivering training sessions around practice assessment/supervision.
Collect data for the Trust supervisor/assessor database. Support the students in their final year of training in order to prepare for employment. Monitor evaluation of student learning and assessment experiences proposing aspects for change resulting from evaluation.
