We have a fantastic opportunity to join a School in the Feltham area as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant supporting pupils within the Nursery site. The role is a fulltime position from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm.
Experience working as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant would be ideal but you must have experience working with children in some form of capacity and be willing to support children with multiple special needs!
The School:
- A primary school for children with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have an additional diagnosis of autism
- Cater for children from 3 to 11 years old
- OFSTED 'Good' rated school located in Feltham
- Pupils are happy to be at school and keen to participate in the wide variety of activities provided for them
- Learning environments are stimulating, interesting and designed to meet pupils’ needs, including those of pupils who use wheelchairs and/or walkers
The Role:
- Promote inclusion by encouraging participation of all Nursery pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
- Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school’s policy and procedures
- Communicate effectively and sensitively with Nursery pupils to adapt to their needs and support their learning as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant
- Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment by organising and managing physical teaching space and resources
- Create a stimulating environment and motivate Nursery pupils with their learning
Requirements:
- Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4pm
- Good communication skills are essential to communicate effectively with the pupils and teachers as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant
- The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and remain calm under pressure as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant
- As an Early Years Learning Support Assistant you will need a good understanding for building positive relationships with children
- Either live in Feltham or within a commutable distance
