Role: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £85 – £90 per day
Start Date: May or June 2023

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a full time EYFS Teaching Assistant for a client primary school in Barnsley, South Yorkshire . The ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant should be available to start in ASAP.

The EYFS Teaching Assistant role is fulfilling and varied with multiple responsibilities; you will be expected to support the class teacher during lessons with the educational and social needs of pupils, you will support in setting up and closing down of the class, build resources. You may support in phonics, to engage students and ensure their progress. Due to the students' needs, there is a focus on developing social skills in lessons, during exercise and in group sessions improving life skills and communication skills.

What are we looking for?
  • Aspiring Pastoral Workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, SALTs, Counsellors, and Social Workers
  • Previous support role within a school or other child related experience.
  • A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils.
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service.
