Job description

General Requirements: Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English. Must be able to successfully complete training required by the company and/or its customers. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb stairs, and carry small tools and equipment for long periods of time. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and work in times of inclement weather. Above all must be a team player with high level of dedication. Must have a valid driver’s license and produce all certificates and other licenses related to job as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Drives vehicle equipped with warning lights, signs and other identifiers to escort trucks hauling tanks and vessels.
Precedes transportation truck and maintains specified distance to provide warning to other motorists and to clear traffic at locations.
Identifies complex problems and reviews information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
The escort driver must keep a copy of the permit and related documents at all times.
Maintains load sheets for each delivery and obtains appropriate signatures.
Drivers will confirm delivery destinations, routes, loads, and estimated times for arrival and departure.
Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30lbs.
Job requirements might require drivers to be in a vehicle for over 8 hours per day.
