Job description
Duties:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including forklifts, manual transmission trucks, tractor-trailers, and pallet jacks.
- Load and unload goods and materials from trucks and warehouses.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Communicate with customers to coordinate delivery details and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts, manual transmission trucks, or tractor-trailers is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
