Driver - includes ancillary duties within the Refuse Collection Service

Based in Downpatrick - travel to Down, Newry may be required

• Days - £10.42
• Saturday - £15.63
• Sunday - £20.84

Job duties:

• Drive and be responsible for allocated vehicles requiring specialist H.G.V driving skills
• To be team supervisor and be responsible for the crew
• Safe operation of the vehicle and equipment
• Undertake routine maintenance including vehicle checks, cleansing, transportation and paperwork
• Excellent communication skills
• Report any issues
• Assist with the councils recycling targets
• Responsible for the safe handling and use of vehicle of the refuse collection vehicle at landfill/ recycling facilities
• To demount the refuse collection vehicle and assist general operatives with collection duties as required
• Maintain appropriate records

You will have:

• HGV license
• Valid UK driving license
• Previous relevant driving experience
• Available for an immediate start

• Downpatrick, County Down: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
