Role: Domestic Assistant (7am - 3pm shift pattern)
Salary: £10.50 per hour (Rota covers Monday to Sunday)
As a Domestic Assistant at Ashcroft Care Home, you must have a sympathetic understanding of the needs of elderly people and their families. At this time more than ever, our domestic assistants play a vital role in our infection prevention and control. You will need to be reliable and physically fit.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Working as part of the team responsible for the thorough cleaning of the home, including the following:
- the cleaning of all communal and private bathrooms and toilets,
- the cleaning of bedrooms, including vacuuming, wiping down of surfaces, watering plants, removal of papers and magazines (as required), etc,
- deep cleaning routines that will include taking down and rehanging of curtains, shampooing of carpets, removal of odours, etc,
- refilling paper towels, toilet rolls, and soup dispensers,
- cleaning of resident and staff kitchens, offices, corridors, and staircases,
- completion of cleaning records as required.
- We need someone who is flexible in their approach and able to assist in laundry as required.
