We have a fantastic opportunity to join our dog daycare team.

If you love dogs and have knowledge and experience working with dogs this might just be your perfect job.

As you can imagine there is a lot to learn, but you will receive comprehensive training which will be ongoing (There will always be lots to learn no matter how experienced you are)

The job is highly rewarding, with lots of love, cuddles, fun and games, but also has a serious side to it. You will be expected to adhere to all training, health and safety and animal welfare procedures.

It is also quite physically demanding with lots of lifting, carrying, bending and cleaning. You will be required to stay active with the dogs in your care, engaging with them, playing with them, conducting basic training, taking part in activities and most importantly ensuring their safety at all times. You must have a good practical understanding of canine behavior, particularly with regards to a free playing environment and have hands-on experience with groups of free playing dogs.

For the right person, this is a chance to really get to know, care for and love the dogs in our care and is an incredibly rewarding role.

The right candidate will:

· Have a minimum of 2 years professional experience in a similar field, such as kennels or daycares

· Will ideally hold a professional qualification with a minimum level of OFQUAL Level 2 in a related subject such as Animal Care or Dog Care, ideally Level 3.

· Ideally hold a Canine First Aid qualification, although training will be given.

· Be confident and outgoing

· Be experienced in and able to provide a very high level of face to face customer service

· Have cash handling experience, including using POS systems.

· Have experience of controlling groups of dogs whilst playing

· Be sociable and a strong team member

This position is 30 or more hours per week and requires the right person to be flexible with regards to shift patterns (sometimes long shifts) we are open mon-fri 7:30am-6:30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £16,255.20-£21,673.60 per year
