Our client is aninterior fit out contractor who specialise in shopfitting projects across the UK. They have an excellent reputation and history of producing quality, fast track fit out projects across the sector for some leading retail clients like Marks & Spencer, Primark and TK Maxx. They are now recruiting for a Document Controller for their Padiham office, near Bury.
The Document Controller should be somebody who is organised and can take on multiple instructions from multiple sources in a short space of time. They would be juggling the control and distribution of drawings across a number of projects whilst also supporting with the O&M’s at project handovers.They are looking for someone with energy and drive who is highly motivated. This position will work from the companies Padiham office but will need to be prepared to travel to site occasionally.
Duties:
- Be responsible for Document Control management on numerous construction projects throughout the UK & Ireland.
- Implement and develop Document Control procedures on a constant basis.
- Carry out QA Audits on documents received from external parties to ensure compliance with our requirements.
- Ensure all project information is up to date and distributed to relevant recipients. Managing both hard copy and electronic versions of information.
- Provide occasional training on sites throughout the UK for new users of our EDMS’s.
- Assist with compiling Tender and Design submissions to critical deadlines, as required.
- Produce O&M Manuals and other documentation for project handover.
- Be able to read construction drawings from various disciplines and understand the basic content so that it can be managed and distributed accordingly.
- Assist in the compilation of BREEAM evidence.
- Assist with production of reports and documents as required.
- Provide clerical support to staff in the Technical Services Department in the local office, including typing, word processing, photocopying, data- entry, filing and post duties
- Assist to ensure office environment is maintained to a high standard
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
· Strong IT Skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office Skills
· An eye for detail
· Ability to build relationships quickly
· Experience working within the construction industry
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
