Job Title: Yard Manager
Reporting To: Plant Manager
Salary: Market Rate
Your role:
As a result of continuous growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Yard Manager to join our Manufacturing team at our Barry site.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will be responsible for whole yard operation and outside areas, maintaining an organised yard productivity. This will be done by promoting a positive safety culture for all in the yard area and complete incident forms and ensure preventative actions are robust and completed on time, in full.
You will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards on the checking of timber deliveries, ensuring all gateway processes are adhered to by all yard staff, and completes the necessary documentation NCR / SNCR as required for any items out of specification. You will be a key part to the site leadership team, work positively and constructively with other departments to support and find solutions to drive improvement in site performance.
As a Yard Manager, you will be able to complete good investigations and RCA to improve preventative actions, have a good understanding of ERP systems and have knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing techniques. Problem solving and excellent communication skills are the key to success.
