An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our Legal and Governance team as the Disciplinary Officer. Our Legal and Governance team support across the organisation with this role being an important part of the support provided to individual members, club and county level.
You will manage, advise and handle queries from individuals, clubs and counties on disciplinary matters affecting golf and working with the Governance team to advise on the scope of the disciplinary framework and matters referred to the team. This role will also work with our Club Support team to provide guidance on matters arising at club and county level. This is a vital role to ensure that we meet our own governance standards and that of the Code for Sports Governance, continuing our work to ensure that golf is a safe, fair and equitable sport for all.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A good level of education
- Wide understanding of English law and legal system.
- Organised with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- The ability to analyse and distribute information.
- A high level of integrity and trust, with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
The post is full-time (Monday – Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm core hours) and based at our headquarters in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire and some travel may be required. We offer a hybrid working arrangement (three days in office and two from home) following a successful probation period.
