About The Role:
As our Director of Foodservice sales, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to help a mission-based, high-growth start-up democratize access to the freshest and highest quality local produce available. Reporting to our Chief Sales Officer, you’ll manage and grow our Food Service, Grab & Go, and Supplemental Revenue accounts in the Northeast and Midwest regions.
What You'll Do:
- Develop, grow, and foster collaborative relationships with existing and new key accounts in the food service, grab & go, and supplemental revenue segments to expand distribution, increase sales and become a best-in-class supplier partner
- As new farms are built, pioneer new markets with Broadliners, Produce Distributors, Restaurants, QSR, and other food service customers
- Develop and deliver impactful customer presentations and business reviews to positively shape customer strategy and provide insights & solutions for profitable growth
- Support the management of all activities associated with assigned accounts; execute plans and programs to achieve maximum sales volume and operating profit objectives while controlling costs
- Support the cross-functional development of sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies, and procedures for the Bowery business
- Continue to expand knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
- Leverage solution and insights-driven selling strategies to establish and leverage multi-unit customer relationships, accelerating sales growth
Who You Are:
- An experienced Salesperson with a background in produce
- Track record of growing food service, convenience, and grab and go
- Existing relationships with national customers (e.g. Cisco and US Foods)
- Possess excellent selling and negotiation skills, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think and lead strategically
- Experience managing multiple projects against multiple deadlines
- Ability to travel
- Enthusiasm for our mission; a passion for improving our food system through the use of technology, and the ability to translate this passion into a compelling selling story
