Location: Islington (London) and remote
Hours: 21 hours per week (permanent contract)
Salary: £39,061 - £41,946 pro rata including £3,650 London weighting and 5% pension contribution
Leave: 27 days per year (increasing to 30 days) + bank holiday entitlement pro rata, plus additional end of year leave
Job Profile: Family Rights Group is seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Strategist to expand the reach of our website and other digital platforms. This post is ideal for someone with a strong background in technical innovation and a proven track record of successfully optimising sites and growing the digital reach of an organisation. You will have a highly technical and hands-on ability to transform digital performance, thereby helping to grow and diversify our audience during this exciting period of our development.

Family Rights Group’s mission is to help to create a more socially just society in which the child welfare and family justice systems support children to live safely and thrive within their family, while strengthening the family and community networks of those children who cannot live at home.
The Role:
As part of our goal to increase families’ access to independent advice and information, we have secured funding for an ambitious 3-year project to implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to effect step change in the reach and impact of our online tools and resources. We will do this by putting in place a programme of enhancement of our web resources via search engine optimisation and digital marketing which you will lead on, as well as the introduction of new technological tools to reach more people accessing our services, including an advanced webchat service.
This is a part-time, permanent role with a planned start date of 1/08/23.
About you:
- Excellent, proven track record of analysing sites to identify areas for growth and successful optimising of sites
- In-depth experience in both paid and organic marketing across search channels, including SEO, paid search, Google Ads, and YouTube
- Experience in analysing data using data sources, including carrying out keyword research, using Google’s keyword planner and Ahrefs; managing competition through SEMRush, ScreamingFrog and Google Ads; using insights to optimise conversion rates and carrying out SEO strategy to improve the performance of digital marketing across channels
- High level understanding and experience of using Google Analytics and Google Ads, and how these tools can be maximised for website optimisation and promotion
- All-round technical knowledge and understanding of digital marketing and innovation tools
- Experience with delivering on digital marketing and promotion strategies, including in the not-for-profit sector
- Experience with targeted social media marketing
- Experience with optimising content for and dispatching email marketing campaigns using marketing platforms such as Vertical Response
- Proven IT skills including Adobe, Microsoft Office 365, Canva, social media scheduling programmes, SurveyMonkey
- Experience with updating and optimising web pages using WordPress
- Well organised to work in a busy environment managing multiple projects
