Job description
This is a varied and busy, hands on role, working to the Director and with PR and the Content Manager, delivering marketing activity and tactics in line with the strategy and brand.
In particular the role will:
- Work with Director to ensure that activity is synchronised and cohesive across different channels and business areas
- Implement CRM strategy with loyalty programme in collaboration with General Manager and Director
- Work with Content Manager/copywriter to produce and upload regular content, coordinated across all channels, in line with strategy
- Have responsibility for creating and producing printed marketing collateral to brand guidelines (menus, in room info, leaflets)
- Social Media: monitor social media channels; oversee Twitter & Pinterest, and manage Instagram and Facebook, with support from on the ground team and content creator/video editor – ensuring content aligns to strategy
- Work closely with General Manager & Director to ensure marketing activity meets current business needs and communications are in line with experience
- Develop promotional campaigns
- Measurement and reporting of performance of marketing activity against targets.
- Input to Revenue Management strategy, working with General Manager and Director to adjust room prices according to sales.
- Develop strong relationships with front-of-house teams to ensure understanding of and adherence to brand
- Support the General Manager in maintaining effective internal communications to ensure that the team are kept informed of marketing initiatives, media coverage and reviews
- Support PR with image selection and booking of rooms for press stays
- Assist events team with sales, including with production of business proposals.
- Maintain image & video library
- Ensure third-party websites are updated and accurate
- Maintain and update website using CMS
- Input into research on new markets, trends and business opportunities, including analysis of customer behaviour and competitors - and work with Director to responsively adapt activity as appropriate.
Who we are looking for
This is a new role, we are looking for an ambitious, and highly organised junior marketer. You will have support but be expected to work independently and with initiative.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Digital experience, along with knowledge of main social channels
- Experience or interest in CRM and email strategy
- Analytical skills
- Ability to connect effectively with varied stakeholders
- Creative with an excellent eye for design and detail - design skills are beneficial
- Being a key part of a small but growing business you must have the ability to work confidently at all levels: Be a self starter & able to work independently
- Working in a varied business, you must be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and execute varied tasks to time
- Results driven
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to convey the brand experience at every level. Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
- Interest in destination building and story telling is essential
- A keen interest in sustainability and the natural environment
Experience required:
- Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field beneficial but no essential.
- 1 year or more proven experience in marketing (preferably consumer)

Job details:
- Permanent
- Full time – this will generally be Monday to Friday but as an Events and Hospitality venue weekend days may be required on occasion and with advance notice
- Flexi working: Remote working is welcome for some of the week, but as marketing is experience led, full remote working is not possible as the chosen candidate will need to fully understand the experience and liaise regularly with the ‘on the ground’ team.
