As the Associate SEO Manager, you will sit on the Boston-based acquisition marketing team – a fun crew who love to push the envelope when it comes to digital marketing. You will be responsible for developing and executing the SEO strategy for EF Go Ahead Tours web properties. You will work closely with our E-commerce, Engineering, and Copy teams to implement both on and off-site optimization tactics aimed at reaching our overarching acquisition goals.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct keyword and competitor research to inform our SEO strategy
- Carefully craft and implement SEO optimizations including meta tag and copy modifications
- Monitor and report on organic rankings and traffic while identifying areas of further opportunity
- Collaborate with copywriters to develop fresh content for the Content Hub in support of organic keyword visibility
- Train and provide SEO best practices to new members of the Copy team
- Implement internal linking strategy to aid in passing page rank and authority to our highest priority pages
- Identify new landing page opportunities and collaborate with E-commerce team to bring those opportunities to life
- Own the backlink building strategy through collaborations with external partners as well as through hands-on manual outreach and relationship building
- Aid in test and learn approach to video usage across the site ensuring SEO best practices and schema markup are leveraged as needed
- Own the optimization of our YouTube channel and videos to maximize visibility
- Monitor site health KPIs via Google Search Console, Screaming Frog and other tools as needed
- Conduct regular site crawls, monitoring page status codes and implementing redirects as necessary
- Provide in-depth monthly report outs as well as ad-hoc data analysis as requested
- Collaborate with Engineering team to monitor and improve core web vitals, HREFlang tags, sitemaps, and technical SEO elements
- Consult Engineering and E-commerce teams on web updates in regard to the impact on SEO performance
- Demonstrate thought leadership by monitoring industry trends and applying best practices across our site
- Collaborate with paid media team, sharing keyword insights and opportunities and assisting with native advertising strategy
- Monitor AI technology advancements and aid in adoption/usage of new tools as applicable
Who you are:
You are both creative and data-driven. You enjoy digging into technical SEO elements, combing through keyword trends, and pulling out competitor insights to help drive your strategy. At the same time, you have a knack for writing compelling, keyword-rich copy and click-worthy meta tags. Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of in-depth hands-on SEO experience
- Driven self-starter who is able to multitask and prioritize work
- Experience and advanced knowledge of Google Analytics 360/GA4
- Experience with SEMRush, Conductor or other keyword tracking tools
- Experience with Screaming Frog or other website crawling tools
- Familiar with AI technologies like ChatGPT, Bing’s Sydney, and Google Bard
- Analytical with the ability to gather actionable insights from large data sets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Results oriented with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for travel is a must
- Bonus points if you have: Experience with Tableau
