The Accounts Payable Associate reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Associate provides administrative support to the Accounting department through timely and accurate reconciliation of monthly vendor statements, conducts the weekly payment runs, and other accounts payable oriented tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer vendor emails and redistribute invoices to assigned Coordinators.
- Create and review the weekly payment run including checks and ACH payments.
- Upload weekly freight invoices and request approvals, as needed.
- Reconcile monthly gas card receipts to vendor statement.
- Process operational invoices, request approvals and prep for payment.
- Review monthly vendor statements to research and resolve any open items.
- Work with other departments and vendors to complete the new vendor setup process as requested.
- Backup to the Accounts Payable Coordinators as necessary.
- Assist with accounting and administrative projects as requested.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner that fosters positive relationships with internal (company personnel) and external (vendors) customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment and strategically prioritize tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to multi-task at a high level.
- Strong organizational skills and sense of ownership.
- Excellent sales and customer service attitude.
- Ability to take initiative.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years’ experience in Accounts Payables or closely related field.
- Prior experience in foodservice equipment and supplies desired but not required.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
