We are looking for a proactive, organised and enthusiastic apprentice to join the team to support all aspects of marketing across our digital channels, with a focus on digital content and web. The duties will be diverse and multi-ranging, and good communication skills and attention to detail are vital for this role. In return, this is an opportunity for the right individual to make a real impact and develop the skills needed to shape a career in digital marketing.
You will complete a Level 6 Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship. As part of the course you will learn theory, which you will then put into practice during your role. There will be space for your skills to grow, while helping T & T innovate and drive effective digital marketing campaigns.
You will be joining The Global Business Generation (GBG) team, who are the custodians and drivers of best practice and expertise across all aspects of marketing and business development: brand and comms, digital and social media, winning bids and key client management. The GBG team is refreshing its strategy and approach. There is real energy and enthusiasm to make an impact, as experts in our field. This will require us to trial new approaches, innovate and be resilient in a fast-paced environment. The team is closely aligned to the company’s leadership and collaborate daily with regional business generation colleagues, based globally.
Role responsibilities
- Publish content to the website following agreed approval processes, ensuring it is formatted for web and accessibility, optimised for search and tailored to the target audience
- Create and manage website content throughout its lifecycle, collaborating with the Marcomms team and other content owners as necessary
- Contribute to delivery of a major web project to refresh the Turner & Townsend website and upgrade the content management system (CMS)
- Write, edit and proof copy for a variety of digital channels including website, social media and email
- Report on and analyse digital content performance and make recommendations to enhance content and campaigns
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure digital content is prepared and ready ahead of its deadline
- Edit and optimise images and other rich media content (infographics, video) as required using creative software
- Additional reasonable digital marketing support activities as and when required
- Right to live and work in the UK and must have lived in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last three years.
- Five GCSEs, grades A*-C including Maths and English (grade 4 and above in new grading system or equivalent e.g. functional skills).
- Three A Levels at grade C or above, or equivalent e.g. BTEQ level 3 grades MMM.
- Ability to operate in a team or individually and takes responsibility for achieving specific tasks or outcomes
- Demonstrates positive energy, confidence and credibility in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- Self-motivated, organised and able to plan and juggle priorities to meet deadlines
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- Passion for digital content and marketing
- Ability to work remotely and self-motivate to stay on task
- Interest in digital technology and creative software
- Creative thinker
- Deadline-focused
- Excellent proofing and copyediting skills and fluent written English
Desirable
- An understanding of digital marketing tools is ideal but not crucial as training will be provided.
