Technical Support Controller
Location: Volvo Truck & Bus Centre South & East – Wellingborough
Hours: Full Time - 08:30am to 16:30pm
Salary: £35,000 per annum (plus 5% Bonus)
At Volvo Trucks we have an fantastic opportunity for a Technical Support Controller to join our Used Trucks team, at Volvo Truck & Bus Centre South & East - located Wellingborough.
In this role you will be supporting one of the biggest, most prestigious used truck departments in Europe. You will be responsible for controlling the technical and administrative aspects of the Used Truck contract returns, into stock and sales preparation processes for the Wholesale and Retail sales activity.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- You will be responsible for checking that all incoming stock vehicles are managed through the returns process, via the Volvo Dealer Network and external inspection agencies.
- Ensuring that all incoming stock vehicles are inspected and prepared in accordance with source and intended sales channel.
- Ensuring vehicles that have been on contract maintenance have been correctly maintained by the operating dealer and recharge where appropriate.
- To instruct vehicle preparation in accordance with the sale type and requirements of the customer, track work is carried out within the required timescales and standard.
- To Monitor the progress of vehicles through prep centres and keep an up-to-date tracking spreadsheet.

Who are you?
You will hold an Engineering qualification to HNC level, or equivalent experience, and ideally have a HGV Class 1 License. Have good knowledge of Volvo workshop processes & practices, as well as knowledge of transport industry legislation. You will have proven administration skills, be confident using Microsoft Excel at intermediate level, and have knowledge of Volvo dealer systems. You will have a flexible approach to hours & travel, ability to work out of hours when required.
