The UK Marketing function is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Bank by delivering fair outcomes for customers. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of brand marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the HSBC brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at market level. This role will specifically support the Unsecured Lending vertical with a focus on HSBC.
The UK Digital Acquisition Marketing Manager role is responsible for the end to end delivery of all performance marketing campaigns and the strategic lead on how these campaigns will be delivered to achieve key business KPIs. This role will manage all paid media so we’re looking for experts in managing the full digital paid media mix to deliver profitable sales growth. Holders of this role are expected to be passionate about digital advertising, understand latest trends and areas of innovation, be inquisitive, highly commercial, are multi-taskers.
They are responsible for driving product sales across multiple channels including (but not limited to) Search, Social, Display, Affiliates & Email and sharing best practice amongst the marketing community. All marketing communications activity and content, regardless of channel should be aligned to the brand, fully integrated and optimised.
Working to support the Senior Digital Acquisition Manager and step in when required, they will work closely with our in house agency team of channel specialists, digital team, product & journey teams, external design agency, our media planning agencies and strategic partners to deliver outstanding campaigns and projects. They must be a self starter, able to find new business development opportunities automonsly and manage upwards to senior stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the full delivery and strategy of acquisition marketing from briefing to delivery across multi channels.
- Ensure all campaigns are fully tagged and trackable. Reporting against campaigns on regular basis, provide actionable learnings and ensure activity is fully optimised.
- Manage the Digital acquisition marketing budget efficiently, striving for maximum ROI, ensuring that all activity is on target.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define the role for marketing and create compelling agency briefs, with clear objectives and targets.
- Responsible for driving new ideas/concepts and gaining senior stakeholder buy-in.
- Creative strategy and execution across channel.
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
- Ensuring that all digital acquisition marketing campaign are delivered in a consistent and compliant manner by co-ordinating governance and operational issues, ensuring adherence to Global Standards and relevant FIMs
- Demonstrate an understanding of Marketing requirements/needs in the wider business in order to build stronger relationships with key stakeholders
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Strong knowledge of digital acquisition channels – proven hands on experience of running at least 2 of the following: Paid Social, Paid Search (Knowledge of Google Ads and Search Ads 360), Programmatic advertising (DV360 and Campaign Manager), Affiliate Marketing.
- Strong reporting and data analytics skills, with the ability to produce clear explanations for performance both to the wider team and senior leadership.
- Highly creative and innovative – need to have the ability to develop relevant and contextual messaging to increase the effectiveness of campaigns
- Experience using marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- Up to date with the latest advances in the digital marketing industry and be able to identify new opportunities
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and resources in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
- Experience of key data regulations including GDPR and an understanding of the importance of strong data governance in everything that we do
- Ability to develop compelling creative & a range of appropriate assets to deploy against defined campaign targets
- Strong commercial acumen and experience of managing large budgets
- Capable team member and participant, able to solve problems individually or in groups and committed to personal development Commercial awareness and understanding of product profitability dynamics
- Ability to work within and adapt to an environment which experiences significant change
- Relevant product knowledge or previous experience of working in the Finance sector or in a large complex matrix organization is desirable
- Achieved targets and met expectations whilst supporting and encouraging others to do the same
- An understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these desirable
- At least 5 years previous experience
