Job description

The Instructional Designer is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs working with subject matter experts to identify training needs. This employee will apply instructional design theories and methods and create assessment instruments and support material to develop and maintain best-in-class talent development and compliance training programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate talent development and compliance training, ensuring competency alignment among courses to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Conduct needs assessment and identify performance gaps and implementing training best practices to ensure alignment with RadNet needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on the effective use of instructional design strategies, web-based resources, multimedia technologies, and instructional software and systems to improve training outcomes.
  • Consult with external vendors, consultants, and industry experts to leverage their expertise and resources to enhance the training curriculum
  • Utilize project management skills to communicate, prioritize, track, and report project progress of milestones, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Serve as a team LMS administrator to configure, build courses, implement 3rd party integrations, and stay current on LMS system upgrades/changes.
  • Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools to develop interactive and engaging instructional resources including eLearning, video, audio, and graphics.
  • Conduct training, workshops, and coaching for trainers to promote excellence in instructional design, instructional sequencing, teaching, active learning, engagement, and assessment strategies.
  • Evaluate success of training implementation by assessing achievement of learning objectives and transfer of knowledge to continuously improve training solutions and identify future learning needs.
  • Create and revise instructional materials to ensure that they ensure quality, inclusiveness, and compliancy.
  • Apply instructional design theories and related principles to program and department needs.
  • Stay abreast of RadNet and competitors' best practices and evaluate them for potential application in instructional design.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet based applications such as web conferencing and the ability to quickly master new applications.
  • Advanced experience with authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Proven ability to continually adapt and learn new procedures, systems, and software applications.
  • Excellent web design skills including experience in basic graphic design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in course design and development, training, or program/course assessment/evaluation.

Physical Demands

This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, speaking, listening, and high-level cognitive thinking. Also, must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. The position requires the ability to travel, drive a vehicle, and utilize other forms of transportation.
