Product Development Engineer

Job Responsibilities
- Provide product design input to drive improved manufacturability and serviceability.
- Ability to implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design and or design changes.
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering team design, develop and validate new equipment and maximize efficiency by analyzing plant layouts, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
- Work cross-functionally with multiple OEM customers.
- Help OEM customers to develop their vehicles across various systems with sound engineering that fits well inside the Foxconn assembly processes.
- Virtual new program feasibility studies.
- Advanced concept studies.
- Lead virtual builds with OEM customers.
- Create Process and Product Assy Drawings.
- Create Product Drawings for recommended component improvements
Education and Ideal Experience
- BS in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, BSIE…) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Advanced Engineering or CAD design.
- Skilled in CATIA V5/V6, Solidworks, NX.
- Skilled in Hyperworks or other CAE software’s preferred
- Knowledge of the automotive design process.
- Experience in design and development of products within manufacturing.
- Experience in Propulsion systems is preferred.
- Problem solving mindset.
- Previous OEM and automotive experience preferred.
- Previous assembly and manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with APQP, FMEA and DFMEA preferred.
- Hybrid or Electric Vehicle experience preferred.

- Travel is minimal (10-20%) for this position if local to Lordstown
