Product Development Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Provide product design input to drive improved manufacturability and serviceability.
• Ability to implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design and or design changes.
• Support the Manufacturing Engineering team design, develop and validate new equipment and maximize efficiency by analyzing plant layouts, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
• Work cross-functionally with multiple OEM customers.
• Help OEM customers to develop their vehicles across various systems with sound engineering that fits well inside the Foxconn assembly processes.
• Virtual new program feasibility studies.
• Advanced concept studies.
• Lead virtual builds with OEM customers.
• Create Process and Product Assy Drawings.
• Create Product Drawings for recommended component improvements

Education and Ideal Experience

• BS in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, BSIE…) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Advanced Engineering or CAD design.
• Skilled in CATIA V5/V6, Solidworks, NX.
• Skilled in Hyperworks or other CAE software’s preferred
• Knowledge of the automotive design process.
• Experience in design and development of products within manufacturing.
• Experience in Propulsion systems is preferred.
• Problem solving mindset.
• Previous OEM and automotive experience preferred.
• Previous assembly and manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with APQP, FMEA and DFMEA preferred.
• Hybrid or Electric Vehicle experience preferred.
