The role It's an exciting time to be joining Children Social Care in Warrington. The MASH team in Warrington is stable with all posts filled with staff and much experience. The MASH team manages all new referrals and screening of those referrals alongside information requests. At the point of referral for assessment this transfers to our Child in Need teams who work closely with the MASH team on a duty rota basis. MASH is a strong team who thrive to achieve good outcomes for children and want to start off the right way when working with families. We work closely with multi-agencies a good example of this is our daily multiagency meetings. We also aim to make timely decisions and dip audit on a weekly basis to identify strengths and areas of development. Together with the team manager you will contribute to the ongoing development of our approach to social work through team development, coaching and audit work. Also ensuring our screenings are to a high standard, are multi-agency, include the voice of the child and understand their journey, also the voice of parent's / their views and consider any strengths. We are looking for a committed social worker ready for progression or manager who ideally has direct experience of a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub or skills that are transferable, feels confident in decisions making to safeguard, is open to discussion and aims to manage cumulative need and presenting risk. In addition, is passionate about multiagency working and timely decision making, ensuring the voice of the child and family are heard throughout the work we do, that intervention is offered at the correct level for the family and is passionate about supporting and developing staff to achieve this.
