IT Support / Deployment Engineer required for a 6 month contract in central Leeds to join a leading public sector organisation.
Our client are replacing all their desk phones with Microsoft Teams compatible ones. This is the last phase of a project to move off Lync to Microsoft Teams. There are approximately 1000 phones to replace across over 200 sites. Also, their onsite Sales team who manage laptops, phones and peripherals require additional resource to assist with their day-to-day operations.
Key Tasks:
- Visit sites, set up phones and work with the Voice team to resolve issues that may be encountered on site during phone deployment.
- Work with the organisations Sales team who manage the IT equipment for the organisation. This role will be to assist the team with day to day and small project work which centres around laptop builds, refurbishment, inventory administration and site visits.
The successful candidate will have:
- A good general understanding of IT (Networking, Active Directory, Android, Windows 10)
- Knowledge and understanding of hardware (laptops, mac books and related peripherals, smart phones)
- Microsoft Office skills
- Good verbal, face to face and written communication skills
- Able to communicate with technical, non-technical staff and manager
- Driving license
Specific duties include:
- Visiting offices across Leeds to swap out phones for Teams compatible phones ensuring all have been tested and any issues resolved with assistance from the technical team who will be working remotely
- Imaging and QA of devices
- Siting of and set up of devices to sites
- Maintaining inventories
- Fulfilling requests from staff for laptops, mobile phones, monitors
We're looking for some to start 5th June and candidates will be required to go through BPSS checks.
