Due to an internal promotion, we have a new vacancy for a Business Analyst to join our growing Technology team. This position offers you the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis - splitting your week between working from home and our central support office in Cheltenham (so you'll need to be based within a commutable distance of there).

At Portman, we have an ambitious digital transformation roadmap which aims to future-proof our Support Office through investment in new systems, simplifying core support office processes, and embedding digital ways of working.
In this role, you'll work with initiative owners from a range of functions, and support them to review and define user journeys. You'll also be involved in:
- mapping business objectives and capabilities
- conducting discovery sessions and documenting user stories
- capturing and validating business requirements from a wide range of stakeholders for projects, initiatives and enhancements
- translating process designs into functional requirements
- working with business partners and IT colleagues throughout the project life cycle to meet business capability needs, and ensuring successful achievement of scope, cost, schedule, quality, adoption, and value outcomes
- leading and contributing to working groups to assist initiative owners to design, implement and land solutions that deliver our transformation objectives
About the person
As a Business Analyst at Portman you'll be a key member of the team, so we welcome your application if you are/have the following:
- Solid understanding and application of business analysis methodologies and techniques
- Experience in Requirements elicitation i.e., User Stories, Epics, acceptance criteria and use cases
- Experience in delivery environments using Agile and hybrid Waterfall/Agile methodology within medium to large businesses
- Experience working on large-scale systems implementations
- Conversant across product strategy, process models and system architecture
- Competent in the use and analysis of data to drive decisions, requirements, and priorities
- Experience in performing detailed data analysis to drive quality metrics, as well as defining test cases
