The Growth Company’s (GC) employment business unit has an exciting opportunity for an ESOL Delivery Manager on our Refugee Employment Programme in Yorkshire & Humber.

GC is a fast-growing, purpose-based social enterprise and, as part of our mission for positive change, we deliver services for the Home Office, working with refugees across Yorkshire & Humber. Our services focus on supporting individuals holistically, ensuring they have access to all the support they need to progress and move forward into employment.

As a Delivery Manager, you will provide a range of services to refugees and to take the lead in day to day delivery and/or compliance of the ESOL delivery, including coordinating delivery, ensuring a high level of contract compliance and delivery resources in order to maximize performance.

We are looking for talented individuals who have language skills in Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Urdu, Turkish, Dari, Kurdish, Kurdish Sorani, Swahili, Albanian, or other languages that would be beneficial in supporting refugees in the UK, but this is not essential. Also, if you have personal experience of resettlement, we would be keen to hear from you (this is not essential).

Agile working options are available for this role. Our roles will be predominantly based in the following locations: Hull, Humber and across South Yorkshire. There will be a requirement to travel across the region when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and arrange the delivery of ESOL provision, working with suppliers, partners, AEB providers and internal team members to ensure that there is the required capacity to deliver employability focused ESOL support for service users.
  • Ensure that there are effective processes in place to manage the timetable of provision, support assessment and referral, record and accurately forecast the support requirements monthly, and proactively ensure contract compliance by addressing any shortfalls in capacity.
  • Oversee the delivery of ESOL support; monitor and manage the quality of the provision.
  • Deliver training/information sessions to delivery staff as required, run team meetings in the absence of the service manager, deal with customer complaints, ensure monthly performance is recorded and a high level of attention to detail is used to ensure minimum errors.

About you:

  • Flexible approach to work including willingness to travel.
  • Taking responsibility, driving tasks through to completion and achieving.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within refugee or have lived experience customer service, welfare to work industry is preferable.
  • Good knowledge of training, education and employment opportunities.
  • Well-developed IT skills, including MI systems, spreadsheets, diaries and email.
  • Strong administration, strong accuracy, numeracy and literacy.
