Job description
BC's Best Raw Pet Food Inc located at Holmwood Farm in Barnhartvale has immediate openings for plant operators and delivery driver.
About the position;
- Unloading and organizing raw materials for processing
- Delivering product and picking up raw materials weekly in Thompson Okanagan.
- Delivering product once a month to Vancouver retailers. (vehicle provided) (only if current driver is unavailable)
- Weighing and Grinding meat and produce as per formulation
- Using sausage maker to make sausage out of meat and vegetable mixture and place on racks for freezing
- Using meat saw to cut frozen sausages into pucks for packaging
- Assisting with plant cleaning and adhering to all protocols and procedures as outlined
- Coordinating orders for retailers, and assisting with loading truck for deliveries
Equipment Used:
- Meat Grinder
- Sausage Maker
- Meat Saw
- One Ton Truck with Cube Van
Qualifications:
- Must be physically fit, able to lift 40 lb boxes and able to operate equipment
- Experience in meat plant would be an asset but is not necessary
- Training will be provided
- Plant and farm are located 30 minutes east of Kamloops, reliable transportation is required.
Hours of Work:
- On average 21 hours per week with potential to increase to 35 hours/week during the summer months.
- Tuesdays, Thursdays or can adapt to suit your schedule if you are in school
- 8 am start times
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-21 per week
Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
