You’ll gain industry experience in a global brand (but with a family feel) organisation, whilst studying at a great university! We have a role available within our learning and development Academy; this is the Department provides learning solutions to support our Network teams in developing the right mindset, skills, knowledge and behaviours to become a modern retailer with a Customer and People Centric approach.
Throughout your four-year apprenticeship, you’ll develop your skills in Project Management to support all aspects of improving our consumers experience across Toyota and Lexus business with the UK. We’ll equip you with the tools for you to grow into a well-rounded employable graduate either in TGB or the wider working world!

Project Management Degree Apprenticeship - Whistle Stop Overview
This role will involve you splitting your time between working at the office and block release for your academic study at Northeastern University. There you will benefit from a blend of lectures and group and individual learning. Whilst in the office, you will develop skills in project initiation, scope definition, stakeholder management and activity planning to name a few!
This role is important as you’ll be working to assist The Academy in continuing to develop and deliver innovative, engaging learning and development solutions to ensure Network skills are developed and future proofed. You’ll also get to work on some really great projects where The Academy is taking the lead in supporting broader business projects, such as new vehicle launch activity.
Enabling you to be the best you can be is on the top of our list at TGB, so our managers will support you by identifying projects that will provide opportunities for development as well as giving face to face support on a regular basis. By the time you’ve finished your four years with us at TGB, we’ll have set you up with all the skills you will need in your future career! The world of Project Management will be your oyster, with the prospect of many jobs being at the end of your fingertips!

The Academy sits within the C1A Division (Consumer One/Academy). C1A is at the forefront of understanding and predicting the needs and requirements of our Customers for the future. - Support the Network as they transition to being a mobility company, ensuring that they attract, retain and develop a diverse team with high quality people with robust talent pipelines
Project management role in the team
All departments within C1A are project based and work on a collaborative basis, ie a project which has a focus on Customer Service outcomes will inevitably have an impact on training inputs from a Curriculum perspective – so an ability to work collaboratively across teams will be of importance.
Experience you'll gain
The opportunity to work in a Division which is truly collaborative – projects in each area rely on the support and skills The Academy can provide. This means that you will gain experience in being tasked to understand a business need and developing a project plan for The Academy to deliver tangible outcomes to meet the need.

You will own your own projects either as bespoke pieces of work, or as part of a larger project delivery with key outcomes and actions. You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for the full end to end process of project planning and delivery, with access to, and reporting responsibility to key Stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, the skills you’ll need to have include:
- You’ll need to be predicted or have already attained 120 UCAS Tariff points. A combination of Level 3 qualifications may include: A level, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas or the International Baccalaureate
- Relevant qualifications and/or work experience will be taken into consideration where the applicant has the judged potential to benefit from the programme. Requests will be considered on an individual basis where appropriate
- GCSE at Grade C (new GCSE numerical Grade 4) or above; International applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent)
- GCSE Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent are required for entry. Functional skills Level 2 in Maths is accepted as equivalent.
- Strong communication on both written and oral forms
- Incredibly organised to maintain a mix of work and study commitments
- A logical and structured approach to problem solving
- Excellent eye for details
- A passion for creating practical and deliverable plans that are realistic and viable
- Good mathematical capabilities to support estimating and budget control
- Innovative mindset that seeks creative solutions
- Skills in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- It would be great if you had an interest in digital technology, innovation or mobility.
- Positive outlook and problem solving mind-set.
- Really team focused and able to build relationships
- Passionate about customers & obsessed with delivering a service the way that customers LOVE!
- Residing in the UK and either living within or willing to relocate to within a commutable distance of our ECO HQ
